President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called on African nations to take charge of their development agendas through homegrown solutions and regional integration. He noted that external support, while helpful, is not a guarantee for sustainable progress in Africa. The President made the remarks today while officiating at the 11th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-11), which took place at the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo, Kampala.

The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has this evening arrived in Uganda to participate in the 11th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD), a high-level gathering convened under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
 

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today arrived in Kampala for an official visit. The visit which took place at State Lodge Nakasero underscores the long-standing brotherly relations between Somalia and Uganda and reflects a mutual commitment to deepening cooperation in areas of security, trade, regional stability and development.

The 4 th Session of the Ethiopia-Uganda Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) concluded on 4 th April in Addis Ababa on a high note, with the two countries signing a record 8 Bilateral cooperation Agreements in various fields ranging from Aviation to Minerals to Water Resources and Agriculture.

Following a six-year break, the Ethiopia-Uganda Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) kicked off today, 3 rd April and will conclude on 4th April 2025 at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa.
