- Preparation and Review of the Ministry's Strategic Plan
- Preparation of comprehensive Annual Plans
 
- Preparation of Annual Budget
 
- Monitoring and Evaluation of annual Budgets and Plans
- Coordination and facilitation of the Ministry's participation in all parliamentary matters
 
- Preservation and analysis of data related to Foreign Policy
- Analyse other National Policies and how they impact on Foreign Policy
- Formulation, development and analysis of Policy
 
- Liaison with Permanent Secretary and    Undersecretary  reviewing cabinet papers related to policy issues
- Conduct research on topical issues related to enhancing budget allocations
-Coordinate  formulation of performance indicators to boost the ministry's allocations
 
Coordinate efforts aimed at moving the Ministry to a productive sector to enhance budget allocations to boost implementation of Uganda's foreign policy

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AT THE SERVICE EXCELLENCE EXHIBITION 5TH JUNE - 7TH JUNE 2019 , 6th-June 2019

The Ministry joined all other Ministries,  Departments and Agencies MDA's in  participating in the Service Excellence Exhibition under the theme " Industrialization for Job creation and shared Prosperity "
at the  Kololo Independence Grounds. The Exhibition runs from 5th - 7th June 2019, daily from 8:00am - 5:00pm daily.

HON. SAM KUTESA RECEIVES LETTERS OF CREDENCE FOR THE NEW UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (UNDP) RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE , 30th-May 2019

Hon. Sam .K. KUTESA, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda officially  received Letters of Credence of the new United Nations Development  Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative , Ms. Elsie ATTAFUAH today at the Ministry Headquarters.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sam K. Kutesa on Tuesday, 28th May 2019 received in his office, Dr. J. Peter Pham, the United States Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region of Africa and they discussed matters related to the Great Lakes Region, and Uganda-United States Co-operation.
