UGANDA BEING CONSIDERED FOR REGIONAL SURGICAL HOSPITAL FACILITY BY ICRC

The anticipated project includes a general hospital with the capacity to accommodate at least 100 beds and the ability to offer surgical facilities for war related injuries and a training component whose target will mainly be local medical workers and the ICRC Medical staff.

Speak one 'language' for a harmonious solution to Apaa conflict - President Museveni, 23rd-August 2018

President Yoweri Museveni has proposed a select committee of five members from each tribe of Acholi and Madi coordinated by the Rt. Honourable Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda to come up with resolutions on the Apaa land conflict within a period of three weeks. 


The President's proposal follows a meeting he held with the leaders of Amuru and Adjumani districts to harmonize on the two districts geographical boundaries that have caused a social conflict among the Acholi and Madi tribes for the last seven years leaving a trail of death and destruction among their communities.
