UGANDA AND KENYA HOLD 1ST JOINT PERMANENT COMMISSION , 21ST -25TH MARCH 2019 NAIROBI

Today witnessed a momentous occasion  in which Uganda and Kenya held the first session of the Joint Permanent Commission in Nairobi - Kenya. The Agreement establishing the Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) was signed on 16th  November 1993, which is approximately 26 years ago.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda wishes to inform the general public that the Royal Danish Authorities have finalized the process of entering the new East African Community (EAC) Passport for Uganda into their Immigration System. This process was concluded on 8th March 2019.

UGANADA HANDS OVER 70 EX-23 COMBATANTS TO DRC

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of Government of the Republic of Uganda on 26th Febuary 2019, facilitated the repatriation of over 70 EX-23 Combatants  and 10 dependants to  the Government of the Republic of the Democratic of Congo. The Ceremony took place at Entebbe International Airport.

President Yoweri Museveni last evening received and welcomed the Israeli tourists who are in Uganda for a four-day tour of the country.

The leaders of the more than two hundred and twenty tourist mainly from the Israeli largest law firm Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal who arrived in Uganda on Wednesday this week met the President at Chobe Safari Lodge in Nwoya district where he is currently chairing a 5 day retreat of the Central Executive Committee of the National Resistance Movement in his capacity as the party's national Chairman.
