OHCHR's Country Representative Meets with Hon Odongo

Today morning, Mr. Robert Kotchani, Country Representative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), paid a courtesy call on Honourable Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry Headquarters.
The Minister thanked Mr. Kotchani and OHCHR for the Development support to and Cooperation with Uganda. Hon Odongo particularly commended OHCHR for their support in the areas of Capacity Building and the Universal Periodic Review process.
Mr. Kotchani congratulated Hon Odongo upon his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs adding that his commitment and experience will be of great importance to the OHCHR-Uganda Cooperation. He communicated OHCHR's commitment to cooperating with the Government of Uganda and highlighted the progress so far made including the Universal Periodic Review process and the Launch of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.
Mr. Kotchani reiterated OHCHR's appreciation of the collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is aimed at promoting, protecting, and advancing Human Rights in Uganda.
