H.E Amb. Barbara Nekesa accompanied by members of staff from Uganda High Commission in Pretoria- South Africa, joined other Ugandans at Mayfair Orlando Pirates Training grounds for the EID sports festival and exhibitions which were organized by the Association of the Uganda Muslim Community In the Diaspora (UMCID).

Ugandan companies operating in South Africa participated in the exhibition and these included MUBIRICH, Kassimu KM Tours and travel PTY(LTD), NV Homes, Daru Transporters, JB investment Group, Lady Josephine money services, Jaz. money services, etc

The mission equally mounted a stand where it was able to interface with members of the diaspora and disseminated compendiums that were prepared on salient consular issues, put out a book to register those Ugandans who were not registered with the mission yet and officers stayed on standby to answer any questions and make necessary clarifications to the diaspora members.

Meanwhile, H.E Amb. Barbara Nekesa as Chief Guest at the festival, took the opportunity to share with the diaspora on a number of issues ranging from e-passports, Certificates of Identity, repatriation of remains of a Ugandan Citizen, the need to register with the mission, Dual citizenship, e-visa etc and further promised a follow up consular meeting.
