Hon Sam Kuteesa returns to Uganda following successfull election as President UN General Assembly

Honorable Sam Kutesa arrived in Uganda on Monday June 16, 2014 following his election as president of the United Nations General Assembly.

\r\n

Upon his return, he thanked the African Union for endorsing his candidature and the international community for voting him into office. He further said that his new position is an honor for Uganda and Africa as a whole. He emphasized that among other issues, he will focus on trans-formative agenda for humanity especially regarding issues related to women empowerment, poverty eradication and climate change.
