PRESIDENT YOWERI K. MUSEVENI ATTENDING THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF PRESIDENT - ELECT PAUL KAGAME

President Yoweri Museveni together with other Heads of State and Dignitaries

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni attended the inaugural Ceremony of President - elect Paul Kagame as he was sworn into office.

Rwanda held presidential elections on August 4th 2017 that saw the incumbent president Paul Kagame emerge victorious. 

President - elect Paul Kagame was sworn in after garnering 98.7% of the votes against the main opposition party leader Frank Habineza and independent candidate Phillipe Mpayimana.  

According to the Rwandan Constitution, the president - elect takes oath of office within thirty days after the final results of the election have been officially released.  
               
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the chairman of the East African community today joined other Heads of State and dignitaries from the continent and around the world attending the ceremony.
