An Iranian High Level Business delegation Visits Uganda

An Iranian High level business delegation from the Mostazafan Foundation which is under the Iranian Supreme leaderís tutelage visits. This Foundation is a huge business conglomerate with 11 holdings and 150 companies under it in various sectors ranging from agriculture/ agro processing to construction, oil and gas, Petro chemical industry to tourism among others. It is also involved in social development programmes in Iran. The visit to Uganda from  03/07/2017 to the 08/07/2017 was a business and investment exploratory tour which covered Ministry of Energy, Ministry of trade and industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Animal industry and other government agencies such as Uganda investment Authority, Chamber of Mines and Petroleum, Chamber of commerce and Industry, National Housing and construction Corporation among others.
They finally called on the Minister of State Regional Cooperation (Foreign Affairs) Hon. Philimon Mateke to  brief  him on what they termed as productive engagements with different government agencies and promised to return with technical teams in a month to conclude some identified areas of investment in Agriculture/ Agro processing, construction (housing) and engagement in the Uganda-Tanga pipeline Project.
This event was organized by the Iranian Embassy to Uganda in conjunction with the Ugandan Embassy in Iran.
