Thursday, 17th November 2016
The Diplomatic Corps of Uganda comprising of Forty-four (44) High Commissioners and Ambassadors, thirty two (32) Honorary Consuls and twenty-Eight (28) International Organizations will be hosting the Second Annual Diplomatic Black Tie Dinner and Ball on Saturday 19th November, 2016, at Victoria Hall Conference Center, Kampala Serena Hotel, from 17.45 pm.

The Theme of this year's dinner will be: "Handshake diplomacy: to cooperate rather than to compete".

The Annual Dinner is usually for the members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Business Community and the wider society to thank those who have supported them during the year. It is also an interactive platform of engagement between the Corps, the Business community and the wider society; and an opportunity for a distinguished visitor to deliver a discourse on a topic of interest to the Corps and the wider community.

This year, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya will deliver the feature address as the Chief Guest. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is also expected to be in attendance.

In the spirit of philanthropy, the net proceeds of this Annual Dinner are usually given to a charitable cause or an institution, this year: Uganda Cancer Institute, Mulago.
